It’s time for the best thing ever!
The latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon premiered this past Sunday night with a special tribute to legendary hip-hop artist, Weird Al Yankovski.
The segment focused on his most iconic song, “Truckin’,” which has been recorded more than three dozen times.
“I was going through the old tapes of the old record that I had of ‘Truck in the Night,’ and I was trying to figure out how many times I had to repeat that,” Yankovsky said, referring to his 1986 classic.
“You know, I was doing it at a certain tempo and I had these little words in the middle, like, ‘Took it from me.’
And I just had to say it so often, I couldn’t stop.
It’s the best song ever.””
Truck In The Night” is the fourth track on Yankovich’s 1986 album, The Black Album.
He has recorded the album more than 50 times, according to his website.
The track is also a tribute to Yankowitz’s late father, Steve, who died in 2014.
The album was a major success and Yankos most successful album to date, selling over 3.7 million copies worldwide.
“The Black Album” was a smash hit in 1986, and has been performed in more than 250 countries.
Its first single, “Guns,” became a top-10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1988.
It was followed by “The Blackout,” the group’s debut single, in 1990.
Yankols best-selling solo album, In My Eyes, came out in 1995.
The “In My Eyes” video has since been viewed over 1.2 billion times on YouTube.
“Tired of Your Song,” another track from In My Eye, was released in 1997, and featured the voices of Yank, Frank Sinatra, and Barbra Streisand.
