A new stadium and new front office for the Atlanta Falcons is one of the biggest items on the team’s agenda this offseason.
The team announced on Monday that it will open its first facility in the state of Georgia.
The Falcons are moving from Atlanta to Cobb County in the wake of the Super Bowl loss to the New England Patriots, and they are expected to re-open their facility by next season.
The franchise has already been linked to a new facility at a suburban Atlanta site, but no new project has been announced.
Atlanta-based Sports Authority is expected to be the anchor tenant of the new facility, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Sports Authority, which owns the Georgia Dome and is planning to build a $1 billion arena, is expected start building a new stadium this summer.
